Founded in 1978, Forever Living Products (FLP) has become the largest grower, manufacturer, and distributor of Aloe Vera and Bee products in the world. It has grown into a multibillion, global giant since it began trading over 30 years ago in Phoenix Arizona, now operating in over 140 countries worldwide. It is debt-free and asset-rich with a $2.5 billion annual turnover. Forever Living (UK) Ltd has its own professional Advisory Board. They advise both the Company and Distributors on technical matters. Their knowledge and expertise is second-to-none in the understanding of the properties and benefits of Aloe Vera, the products, supplements, and its benefits to animals;
- Dr Peter Atherton advises on medical matters (and has been a GP). He qualified in medicine in 1968.
- David Urch is a highly qualified vet and has been practising since 1975 (see animals and aloe).
- Dorne Parker qualified as a beauty therapist in 1977, and joined the Advisory Board in 1995, specialising in both beauty and nutrition.
Forever Living has won a variety of awards, in 1998 achieving 12th place in a national survey of the fastest growing privately-owned companies, conducted by ‘Real Business’ magazine and Dun & Bradstreet. In 2000 the ‘Independent on Sunday named the company as 15th in its annual list of achievers (18 June 2000).
